Are you getting ready for Mother’s Day? I don’t, and this is the post to explain why not.
Should Mothers Help Kids with Mother's Day Gifts

Why I Don’t Do Mother’s Day Activities

Kindergarten Mother's Day Card Mother’s Day is the next big holiday in US, and Pinterest is hopping with either DYI ideas for Mother’s Day or with round ups for this holiday. Interestingly, a lot of these posts are created by mothers, and I keep wondering – why would I want to make a gift for myself with my child? I think this defeats the important parts of gift giving and gift getting – anticipation and surprise. I always left it to my daughter to decide whether she is going to make something for Mother’s Day. Her cards and coupons and treats are not Pinterest perfect, but they come from her own creativity and from her own heart, and I save them as special memories from her childhood.

Mother’s Day Projects From the Classroom

Last year daughter brought a hilarious Mother’s Day printable home. Apparently, I am as pretty as a pony and very smart, because I know formulas :)

I take the same approach as you. The results are often sweet - and sometimes funny, as you note :)
