Highlights of the Week
Smarty asked to have her hair cut shorter for a while, and this time I let her have it her way. She loves her new hair style, especially considering that she has pool every day in her camp and has to wash her hair every day. I love how much easier and faster it is to brush her hair and that she can do a decent job herself. Win-win :)
While Smarty is in camp, both of us work. I got my mid-year performance review at work, and it was fairly complimentary. I am grateful to have a good boss who allows me to work from home. This gives me so much flexibility in my personal life.
Smarty is enjoying her summer camp. She is excited about her drama class where they are learning how to do monologues and dialogues. It's interesting that both in drama and speech, she gets feedback to maintain eye contact with the audience. We did not notice it much before, but Smarty often looks at anything and everything except the person she is actually talking to. She also really enjoys art classes - so far her favorite part was capturing movements through the technique of "gestures".
This part of summer is quite "sporty" for Smarty. She swims every day in her camp, and she also continues with her taekwondo practice. Unfortunately, she won't be able to test in August for the next belt, since she missed too many classes, but at least she is getting back into the groove. She spends a lot of her time reading, and we are all enjoying Horrible Histories DVD set that we bought when we came back from Germany.

Favorite Memory This Week
Me, You know sometimes the boundary between unlikely and impossible is rather blurred.
Smarty, No the difference between them is infinite. Because probability for an impossible event is 0.
