Highlights of the Week

It's been a busy week! On Tuesday, Smarty and her Papa returned from Florida, and my parents flew in to spend time with us for Thanksgiving. I am glad to see that my parents are doing well, my Mom lost a lot of weight already on a low-carb diet. Smarty was going for walks with grandparents and teaching grandma her favorite computer games.

Places We Are Going

We pulled Smarty out of school three days earlier, and she flew with her Dad to meet up with her German uncle and aunt in Naples, Florida. The weather was beautiful, and Smarty visited on several interesting trips while she was visiting, including DeSoto National Memorial, where she earned another junior ranger badge, and the Bush Gardens where she got to feed and pet kangaroos.

What My Child Is Reading

Disclosure: I am an Amazon affiliate, and this post contains Amazon affiliate links. While in Florida, Smarty raced through a new series, Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians by Brian Sanderson. She is now begging me to read it as well, because supposedly it's very good :)

Favorite Memory of the Week

Seeing my parents playing with Smarty in the park :) I am afraid it's the last time - next year she might be "too cool" for a playground.

Your Turn

How was your week?

I hope she isn't too big for the playground next year!

She is starting to look like a teenager (especially the photo of her on the sofa)! Family time and field trips...what fun!

Our kids are growing up, isn't that a weird thought?
