Are You Ready For Fall?

Nov23_Leaves

Fall is my favorite time of the year. There is more structure with going back to school, the weather is still good to spend a lot of time outside, and then there are holidays – my daughter’s birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. I am very excited about fall and about joining with wonderful bloggers from Inspired Bloggers Network to bring you an incredible abundance of fall-related activities, books and recipes. Please jump to the link above and have fun!

Fall List – 6 Year Old

IMG_1283

Cassie from 3 Dinosaurs shared this great printable Fall Bucket List, and my 6 year old wrote out her fall list. I encouraged her to think about things she wants to do, to make and to celebrate. She is really looking forward to:

  • Staying up later and having tea while watching a harvest moon rise.
  • Making a leaf pile (in our area it usually happens in November)
  • Making a Thankful tree – our yearly Thanksgiving tradition
  • Celebrating her birthday!

My Fall List

Oct19_Witch

  • Decorate for fall
  • Bake something that would have pumpkin in it
  • Plant fall flowers
  • Pumpkin patch
  • Shop and donate food for Second Harvest
  • Slow down on weekends and enjoy the season as a family – reading, baking, building, and crafting

Your Turn

What is on your fall list? Share a link to your favorite craft or recipe in the comments!

I still miss the leaves from Fall in California, they just don't get that in Texas.

We lucked out and took our first nature walk a few days ago. We gathered a good amount of sorted leaves to do crafts and leaf studies with. So thankful we did as now we have rain so we won't have much for pretty Autumn nature walks now.

I'm glad we will make fall in California, but I am sure missing New England right now!

If you like pumpkin and chocolate, I have a couple recipes you should try ;)

What a fun idea! I think I'll try to incorporate this for every season, starting with the first day of fall this year. It's a great way to include the kiddos! Thanks for the inspiration and I'll look forward to more from you this week with the #InspiredBN series. Be blessed!

We have many of the same things on our list that you do. Love this time of year! Baking and cooking is definitely on the list. We also enjoy camping in the fall. We have one more trip planned this year.
