In our lives. This week we had a new person started that might become my new boss soon. So far I am not so sure that I want to come over, but the time will tell. On Friday night we went to Anna’s Y program for their annual art show and sale – that’s a charitable event when they sell art that the students create during the year. Some of Anna’s work surprised me – she never does much in art at home, but she can apply herself when she is in the right mood (and sees others creating with her).

Afterschool. Anna had a good week with her regular playdate on Tuesday, chess on Wednesday and gymnastics on Thursday. She is proud of her progress in chess, because the instructors are now pairing her up with older students. She also created this fun poster for me – she is very determined to teach me how to ride a bike. I hope she succeeds!

Places we are going. This Sunday we went to Monterey Bay Aquarium. Anna was very excited about the trip – she loves hands-on parts of this modern facility – touching, interacting with various displays, playing games. She cannot appreciate yet the uniqueness of the sea life presented here or how lucky she is to have this amazing resource within a driving distance.

Happy Picture of the week.

Look, mama, I am pretending that I am a baby seahorse just emerging from my Daddy’s belly!

It sounds like you have a wonderfully comfortable schedule in place...a balance between home and out of the house time.

Anna makes a very cute baby seahorse, and I love the chart she made for you! Good luck with your work decisions!

Good luck on learning to ride a bike, I know you can make your daughter proud. Love her as a baby seahorse.
