In our lives… My blogging was interrupted by a business trip to Israel and by ridiculous amount of work. I left Israel on Wednesday, just before rocket attacks on Tel Aviv, and my thoughts are with my friends and family in Israel. Many of my coworkers are being called in service, and I can only hope that the situation will calm down soon.
Travel: Anna and her father spent last week in Florida where they met up with her German uncle (my husband’s brother) and aunt. Everyone had a really good time, and highlight of the trip was two days in Busch Gardens where Anna got to see more wild life in action. Anna was on her best behavior and really enjoyed getting to know her aunt and uncle (she didn’t see them since she was a baby).
Back to school. Anna was quite happy to go back to school this week, but disappointed that her afterschool Mad Science class is over. In preparation for our parent-teacher conference next week we had a chat about her likes and dislikes. She says that she loves everything in her first grade, but in math she is a little bored, because we keep learning things I already know. I guess this is something to discuss during our conference on Monday.
Quote of the week: Mama, you are the best mama in the world. Well… maybe there are better mothers out there who let their children do anything they please, but that would be too much for me. I would run away and come back home to you. I only don’t think that you are the best when I am mad at you or you are mad at me, but this is not very often.
