We are finally back home from our trip to the East Coast. Anna was staying for a week with my parents while we went on a cruise vacation to the Bahamas. Good time had been had by all! Anna spent her days reading, swimming and exercising in my parents’ garage. She had very mixed emotions when it was time to leave. She really enjoyed her time with grandparents, but she was also ready to go back, and she is looking forward to the first week of school next week.

Anna is not a big fan of flying, but we were all very happy to have our new iPad with us. An agreement is that this is a family’s iPad – we are not in favor of unlimited electronics. Anna used “unlimited access” to its fullest on its way. I want to recommend a free game called Brain Jewelvery addictive and tricky. It really promotes correct answers under time pressure, which proved difficult even for us, adults.

Now, once we are back home, I will hopefully be able to return to my regular 3 posts a week. Or maybe not… considering that I will be traveling for business for 2 weeks in early September. In any case, it feels good to be back!

Welcome back! It sounds like you all had a wonderful vacation!

I'll have to check out that game if we ever get an iPad.

I'm glad you're back too.

We're semi-limited tech people as well. So, the kids are always glad for times when they get to play more on stuff.

I'm glad you had a good trip. It sounds like an ipad is a good investment!

Welcome back!

We have two weeks until school starts for us, and everyone is a bit anxious to get back to the routine and back to friends.

We have a family iPad too, with strict rules about use.

Anna looks so much older all of a sudden - maybe it is her hair in that first photo.
