June10_Graduation

It’s official – Anna is a preschool graduate! She had her graduation ceremony on Friday. I might be this rare parent who doesn’t feel very sentimental about preschool graduation. Maybe I’d be more sad if I were more thrilled about her experiences during this year. It was OK, but I am not at all sad to see Anna leave this school and go somewhere where she will hopefully be somewhat more challenged. Besides, she is going back to school tomorrow for the last week of school year and then she is going to attend a summer camp there, so she is not really saying “goodbye” just yet.

Anna had a good week with papa and opened the swimming pool season. Unfortunately, she overstayed in the pool and was running a low-grade fever on graduation day. As always when she is not feeling well, she was also whiny and clingy, but she was better by the end of the weekend. Same cannot be said about parents – it looks like both of us got her cold too. It seems to be a new trend – Anna has a virus for a day, and then we battle it for a week. Here is hoping that everyone gets better quickly this time around.

I love that graduation picture of Anna!

I hope you all feel better soon. Emma was slightly sick on Saturday night, and Johnny has been much worse. I just hope nobody else gets it.

Did Anna get a haircut? It looks good. (Or maybe she just has a ponytail...) Feel better soon.

It's too bad you weren't happy with the preschool. I don't think our preschool was necessarily challenging, but I prefer a play-based preschool setting and I loved the teachers and classmates. Honestly, I don't even expect Kindergarten to be very challenging academically. I think that is for the best though - just my opinion.

That first photo of Anna is just breathtakingly beautiful! Congratulations on graduation. I'm sorry you're sick and I hope you all feel better soon!

I think they overdo graduations in lower grades these days. We have a 6th grade friend who graduated from middle school this year, and her celebrations were bigger than my college ones. Insane. But fun for little ones. Sorry you are sick. We have the same problem - if we get Crumpet's illnesses, we are sicker than he was every time...Feel better.

She needs to learn there are some things we don't share :)

Hope you get to feeling better soon, and I'm glad you're back safely from your trip!

What a special graduation photo of Anna. We don't tend to have graduations here in the younger years (as far as I know anyway!). I guess it is always special to celebrate milestones. When Savvy finishes kindy at the end of this year, we will certainly organsie some festivities to mark the end of kindy for her.

I hope that you and your husband are feeling better now.

Anna looks adorable and proud! Congratulations! I was thinking about having a homeschool graduation for K so there's a bit of closure before we move on to Kindy but we didn't get a chance. We'll have to think of something.

Anna looks so adorable in both of the pictures. She is showing so much maturity growth just like we are beginning to see here. It's so exciting to see our girls grow up meeting all these wonderful milestones.
