Mirra Loaded Chair

I have been contacted by CSN Stores to do another product review. For once this generous offer from the company that has more than 200 online stores made me think not about toys but about furniture. Right now Anna either does her crafting sitting on her knees at the big kitchen table or she sits at her own little table from IKEA on a backless stool (also from IKEA). I worry somewhat about her posture. I also dream of a nice Herman Miller office chair for myself like this Aeron chair. I have an adjustable chair both at home in the office, but they are not nearly as comfortable. Maybe one day I will get one (when I am a CEO or at least a chairman of a board, I think).

Anyway, I am wondering if you have special desks and chairs for your children? Any recommendations?

No nothing special here, just the dining room table.

I used my last CSN review opportunity to get C & M a table and chairs set for the playroom. It works so much better than having them at the kitchen table all the time (although they still sit there for play doh and painting so I can keep an eye on them!). Here's my review of the table I got: http://just-playin-around.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-our-new-craft-table.html

We have a kid-sized school table and chairs. I think it makes a huge difference in my son's handwriting. Plus I find that both of my little ones are less wiggly when they aren't on their knees at the regular table.
Ours is an awesomely humongous adjustable table by childcraft that I found on craigslist for $40!!!

Sooo... I don't have a super-fancy office chair, but I do have a nice one and my parents gave it to me as a Christmas gift. As soon as I put it together and sat in it, I had to question why I had waited SO LONG to get a decent chair!!! It makes a huge difference!!

Tornado Boy has a child-size desk/table and chair in the classroom. I liked it, but he's already very close to having outgrown it in a year. The one thing that I didn't like about it was that the surface really wasn't big enough to be able to open a book and have space for writing.

My husband had one of those chairs in his previous office. He wishes he could have taken it with him when changed jobs.

No special furniture for the kids, but my toddler son does sit on a Babysmart Cooshee when he sits up to the dining room table. Love that thing!

We have two child size tables with chairs with backs...mostly because they're cute. However, I do think that once kids start having homework that they need a good spot to do this.

We homeschool on our new comfy futon with a $5 lap desk. Or on the floor. Or at the kitchen table. I've wanted a kid size table and chairs forever but haven't had the space or been able to justify the money, when we already have something that works. I toy with the idea of getting him a desk when he's older so he can do work in the quiet of his room, but we'll see if he ever learns to focus without my constant direction!

Haha. Bear sat on a plastic box for a long time, at a plank of wood I had up on bricks for her! Now she has a coffee table and kid sized chairs. It does make a difference where one sits!

We have some kid sized chairs from BB&B, and the kids love them. They were about $30 for a set of table and 2 chairs (we have about 3 of these sets)
