This was a vacation week for all of us which explains why I am not commenting much on my favorite blogs. It also happened to be the hottest week of this summer so far. We spent a lot of time out of the house – meeting JC and her mom in our Egyptian Museum on Monday, driving all the way to Monterey Aquarium on Tuesday, spending a relaxed morning at the pool on Wednesday and as I prepare this post on Thursday morning while family is asleep, we plan to drive to San Francisco. It was a lot of fun to spend so much time together as a family with just the three of us. As always, we read books, Anna did small projects, and we tried to answer her various questions to the best of our ability. I think now daughter needs a bit of time to absorb all the new things she experienced this week – at the moment she seems to have a little bit “too much of a good thing”. Hopefully she will slide back to the routine as easily as she did after our previous vacations. I will come back to work and will start getting up early enough to blog and comment next week too :)

Come and share your preschool weeks in review at Preschool Corner hosted by Homeschool Creations.

It sounds like you are having a wonderful week. We are still recovering from our vacations! A change from our normal routines always takes a lot out of my kids and the recovery period always seems really long!!!!

How lovely for you to be able to spend the week together making memories. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun.

I sometimes trade sleep for blogging and commenting too:)Although I never get up early, I tend to stay up late (way too late), especially since Taleea usually wakes for a feed anywhere from 2am on.

That is wonderful that you got to meet JC and her mum and spend time together at the Egypt Museum. It is great that you have such places relativley close to where you live - it sure does make for some valuable learning experiences for Anna.

Your husband did an awesome job on the castle and it made me smile to read how Anna was enjoying her castle. Nothing compares to a mummy, or daddy made toy.

The Children's Museum looks like another fascinating place to visit. Museums with hands on activities for children are excellent.

I hope you enjoy your first week back at work.

It is great you have had this week to spend together. I hope Anna settles back into routine after this week ends. I know Selena struggled with that after our vacation.

Have fun in San Fransisco!

We always take a while to recoup after any trip. It's crazy, doesn't matter how short it is.

What a full week of exciting activities! Looking forward to your SF post. We did two major excursions this week and we need a break! I think the long drives are hard on the little ones. Hope you get some rest.
