As I am taking off to the skies today for a long track back home, I want to take a moment to review some great events that happened for me in online world recently.

June3_MariAnn I wrote about it already, but I am still thinking of a pleasure of meeting Mari-Ann from Counting Coconuts when we visited Bermuda earlier this month. When I visit other blogs, I often think of the people behind them and their day-to-day lives. It was the first time when I met a fellow blogger after getting to know them via their blog. And I have a goal of meeting another fellow blogger the next month too, but I will keep it a secret for now :)image

I was also delighted to find my blog featured on Raising Playful Tots Index, especially since I was not familiar with this blog before. I have to say that as a semi-specialist in web-based marketing I have to give Melitsa and Nicole big points for their brilliant marketing strategy – their blog gets a lot more exposure since we are all writing about them, but it also very much deserves it. It’s also exciting to be in the company of truly terrific blogs many of which I know and love.

Finally, Debbie at Children Grow, Children Explore, Children Learn gave me a blog award for best blog friends. I am honored, since I really consider her a friend who is able to provide a “been there done that” perspective on many things that worry me. I enjoy all the bloggers on her list, but I will spread the love and give this award to people who inspire and challenge me:

I hope everything goes well on the way back and I am really looking forward to seeing my family again!

You made my day - thank you!

It must be cool to meet someone you know through blogging. I haven't had that experience yet.

My mom still gets scared every time I tell her I'm meeting someone I met online! I've had many opportunities to meet online friends over the past year or so - and every experience has been positive.

That's so cool that you will probably meet another blogger soon! I hope your flight home goes well.

Natalie, you brought a tear to my eye. I have considered you a friend from the first time we connected at Ivillage. You stepped up and went the extra mile when I was sick, and have truly mirrored what a true friend is. I am thrilled to know you! Now someday we will get a chance to meet!

Online friends are great. I've met many in person (including my husband!) over the years. :)

Thanks so much for the award. It's been a rewarding week. I was shocked and excited to find myself on Playful Tots the other day.

I'm getting a chance to meet a blogging friend in person for the first time next week. The small world part of it is we both went to the same high school at different times. How's that for a small world feeling?

Hugs to you, my bloggy friend. :) It was such a treat to get to meet you. There are so many bloggers that I feel like I "know" and would just love to meet them in person. The kind of people you know you could just sit and chat with for hours even though you've never met before. So many good people out there and I think that's the best thing about blogging - making those connections with like minded people.

Hope you're having a wonderful trip and I wish you safe travels.

Warmly,
Mari-Ann

I never would have thought that I would have made the connections that I have through blogging. I have learnt so much from fellow bloggers (yourself included) and am grateful for crossing paths with so many creative and inpirational bloggers.

The Raising Playful Tots Index is wonderful. I am still working my way through it and discovering more fabulous blogs.

Wishing you a safe trip home.

Hi Natalie,
I guess you're meeting Aging Mommy? I thought you were meeting Ticia. :)

It looks like there's a circle of friends that sort of know each other. Many of your bloggy friends are the ones I read too!
