imageThere are many blog carnivals out there encouraging us to peel our collective butts off the computer chairs and couches and spend some time outside. Daughter is one of those children who are hard to get out and usually hard to get back in. My husband and I discussed last weekend how we want to be more purposeful in spending more time in free play and in outside play, and this week we made a point to get our daughter outside every day.

The weather was different every day this week and as I write this post on Friday, I am hoping for a great weekend and for more outdoor adventures.

I posted about your blog and linked your blog this morning. Thanks for sharing the cute photos of your crew having fun outside. I posted photos of my crew playing outside, too.

Funny how it can be hard to get them outside but then hard to get them back in. ;)

Great job and she looks likes she's having a good time.

It's never hard to get my kids outside - it's getting me outside! My kids never want to come in either!

Looks like she had a great time!

We have cold rain this weekend - in the 30s! I can't get myself out in this weather.

I love the rain boots in the puddle! You'll have to check out Beverly Cleary's Ramona series, she does a lot of talking about rain boots and playing outstide.

Great idea!!!

My Marine is going out of town (again!) next week, so this week, we plan to spend as much time outside together as we can!

We go back and forth on being outside. There's some times I can't get them to come in, and then there's times they won't go out.
Sounds like we've had the same weather as you. Everytime I've planned us to go outside, it's been miserable.
