Fantastic Fiction

I am very honored to contribute to Fantastic Fiction event at Playing By the Book. Every time I read Zoe’s posts I am amazed and inspired by her creativity and her ability to integrate music, art, food and great literature into unique experience for her girls. If you are not familiar with her blog, go and check it out.

Just came back from reading your post. It was excellent. I know the first book is a highly recommended read for Selena's curriculum next year, or when we can pick it up. Thank you for the insight on all the books!

Thanks SO much Natalie for your contribution this week. I've especially enjoyed it as it's been a lovely BOOK break from postcards! And I really want to get hold of the family book - think it sounds particularly lovely.

These 'Usborne Complete Book of First Experiences' are helpful for young children. I gave one of Moving House to a family that was about to move house. We also read going to the dentist as a preparation.

I'm just becoming acquainted with Zoe's blog - I'll have to spend some time getting to know it better. But, I enjoyed your post - you always have interesting insights into Anna's reading. We read quite a bit of non-fiction here, but just like the fiction, I think it comes down to good really good illustrations making, or breaking the books for the children.

Neat blog (and contribution). I love how she integrates music and activity ideas.

I hadn't seen that First Experiences book. It looks interesting. I wish our library had it.
