Happy Valentine Day Mouse

Since Anna’s nickname is Mouse, we definitely read our fair share of books with mice as main characters. We own practically every book from Laura Numeroff Mouse series, and this one is a wonderful new addition to the series. Mouse is making Valentines for his friends and his Valentines reflect something that he likes about each of them, so all the characters from the series are present in this book. Feb1_Valentines_SM

I gave Anna several different options to make Valentines for her two best friends, but she quickly chose to paint on wood for both. She loves the projects that come with small set of paints, and I got those sets at Michael’s. She chose to paint an angel for her girl friend and got all excited with red paint. I had to convince her to try for more colors with the heart that she selected for her boy friend. As you can see, she was very pleased with her efforts, and she also wrote her name on the other side with the marker once the Valentines dried out.

I love Laura Numeroff. I saw this book at Target but we haven't read it yet. I love that Anna always knows exactly what she wants to do and that is that. Reagan is exactly like that too!

I wanted to check that book out at the library but it was in cataloguing. I'll have to remember it next year.

Oh cute! Gosh, I didn't even know there WAS a Valentine's Mouse book. We'll have to keep our eyes out for that, since Maddie loves all the others so much.

LOVE the picture of Anna painting! What a doll!

I have always liked mice too. Not real ones, but cute pretend ones. We love the Laura Numeroff books.

Whoops, Bond is the illustrator. My mistake. Those mice are so very cute, though!
