We were driving past the garage sale yesterday when my husband said that he saw something interesting there. We stopped by and he was right. They were selling a very nice over-the-door puppet theater with puppets for $5. Needless to say, we grabbed it, but we still need to get a hanger for it. While there we couldn’t resist this brand new Tube Traxx for $3. I admit that I would never have bought it in the store, but I was thinking for a while that it would be cool to have a marble run for Anna, and this one is pretty nice (except that it took my DH who is an engineer about 30 minutes to put it together). Anna was enchanted – she immediately started to make her own games making several marbles run from different openings or make marbles chase each other. I really didn’t expect her like it quite as much, and I think that she will eventually enjoy building her own marble mazes with it. Garage sales rock :)

PS. You might have noticed that papa got carried away while cutting Anna’s hair. Mama is NOT thrilled.

I've often been tempted to buy one but they're always so expensive. Yay for your garage sale find!

And, the first thing I noticed was Anna's hair! I think it looks cute (although, I've firmly dug my heels in the sand about cutting Maddie's! Ha!). She's so adorable!

Great yard sale finds!

Mike cut Johnny's hair recently and I was not thrilled either.

That's one of the top things on C's Christmas list. He loves the marble run he's played with at his friend's house.

We have a mini-marble track - nothing as fabulous as this one - and M loves it! Wow - you really made out well with that garage sale! Anna's hair is cute, but I'm sorry it's not what you had in mind. ;)

wow! awesome! I'd love to get a marble run for Z. glad she loves it! so funny that it took ur DH 30 min to set up...on second thought maybe we don't want one, it might take us 30 days to set it up. :)

Everyone finds these things at Goodwill or garage sales!

I've got to get one of these for the boys. So fun!!

I love garage sales, Goodwill and such. Some of Selena's favorites have come from such places!

I remember loving marble runs when I was a kid and would love to find an inexpensive one for Bear.

I had a marble run too as a kid, and played with them a LOT! My kids are getting one for Christmas.

My son got the Discovery Toys marble run for Easter and it gets played with every day (not a lot. But he messes with it) I can't wait until he's old enough to have a REAL marble run.

This is something I didn't have growing up, but I always loved the Mouse Trap game so I'm enjoying watching my son with it.

We had these plastic marble runs in our 4-year Sunday School class and the kids flocked to them everytime we got them out (though the brand we had did NOT take 30 minutes to put together!)

i bought a wooden one at the toy store thinking that it would be easier to set up and it is, but it doesn't do the cool twists and turns that a plastic one does. if i find one for 3 bucks, i'm getting one!

I just saw this in your Link Within and had to read it because Collin is getting a marble run from Santa. He is getting one made of wood; it is the one thing he has been asking for all year. I hope he likes it. Does Anna still play with hers?
