We had a birthday party this Saturday, and Anna got a lot of new toys. So far her absolute favorite is this Your Body Puzzle. I learned about this toy from Susana at My Family My Forever. It’s not terribly complicated – each layer of the puzzle (organs, muscles, skin and clothes) has 7 pieces, and Anna very quickly figured out how to assemble them. She did it at least 10 times over the weekend, and she always looks very proud when she is done. I am excited too, because she didn’t display a lot of interest in puzzles previously. She would do them with me, but never independently. I also credit Anna’s school for her increased interest in puzzles – they always have “puzzle station” in the morning, and Anna usually heads right there when she comes to school. I am looking forward to a lot of puzzles as she gets older, I loved them as a child myself and can’t wait to do them with her.

That looks very cool! I'll have to add that to my wish list.
So, it's weird. I randomly discovered that for some reason I'm no longer following your blog and it's not showing up in Bloglines, and then I notied the same thing with about 5 other blogs. And, it's not letting me refollow, that's not a word.
Weird, weird, weird.

That is awesome. I think M&M would love that. Did you get it at a store or online?

I have never heard of this puzzle but D would love it! I had to buy him a book about the human body the other day because he keeps asking about his brain and what is inside of his arm. :)

Your post showed up now on bloglines, so I guess it's delayed.

My son LOVES puzzles and I've now seen several different blogs where this puzzle has been widely recommended and used (all girls). So I'm going to put it on his Christmas list and see where things lead. He's not 3 yet... but I think with his ability with puzzles he'll get to it before his 3rd birthday even if it is a bit too complicated for right now.

Ok, that settles it. I am getting this puzzle to add to our (ridiculously large) selection. I keep hearing about it so it must be worth it!

We love puzzles... such a simple and wonderful thing - no noise or batteries required! :)
