Sep1_BookCorner_SM

Teaching My Little Bookworm thought up of another linky feature – homeschool settings. The first topic is book corners. We don’t really have a book corner as such – we read everywhere. I was even thinking of photographing Anna’s bathroom for this, since she really likes to be read to while she attends to “other matters” or to look at books while she is there. However, most of our “scheduled” reading still happens in Anna’s room. If you could see the rest of her room, you would find books everywhere – on every available surface. I like sitting on the couch and reading to her book after book after book. I kid you not – I brought 10 new books from the library on Monday, and by last night they were all read, some for several times in a row. The day usually starts with 2 books (at least), there are 2 books before naptime, 2 more after her nap and 2 more before bed. The rest are read in the bathroom. This doesn’t count the books she reads by herself. What can I say? I am definitely raising a reader.

My children love books too and they are all over our house. I like that she loves to be read to in the bathroom!

That is just so awesome that she loves books that much! We have a "reading spot" in our home, but really, we end up reading everywhere else more. We, too, have books in the bathroom! :) This was one reason Matthew was potty-trained so quickly - he just loved reading books while he was taking care of business, lol.

That sounds like our home. Selena has books all over the house and we are reading constantly, if not myself then PaPa gets the job. Of course Selena does a lot of reading on her own too. We do not have a bookshelf for her books so I use a bin or bins to keep them in and she drags them out every morning when she gets up.

Very cute room! My boys love books too - my struggle is not to buy all of them and count on the library more!

That is wonderful!! And you know, when I first thought of Maddie's reading place, I thought of her beanbag turtle in the living room, right next to her favorite "big girl" books. But, then I realized that we have a bookcase in EVERY room and that she's carved out a little niche next to each one. Ha!

This is a fun link-up! I'll defintely have to take some pictures when I get home!

We enjoy reading too. Off and on all day long I take turns reading to each child--not so much Hanna anymore. Now she helps me read to the little ones:-).

Reading is such a special time! Her room looks very colorful, bright and happy too:-).

I love how colorful Anna's room is!

We also have books everywhere...in the car, all over the boys' room, in the living room, bathroom, etc. We have the same general reading pattern as you too. :)
