ABC and 123 Picnic Talk this week is about vacations.

What is your favorite place to vacation?
We don't have one favorite place. We had our child later in life, and we both had well-paying jobs, so our vacations were mostly limited by time and not by money. Both of us like to go on cruises, and we took two together before Anna was born - one in Mediterranean and one in Caribbean. And, since we live far away from our families, we also make a point of either visiting them or meeting them "on neutral ground".

Where is the best place you've vacationed with children?
Anna is not even 3, but she already had a chance to visit Germany and meet pretty much everyone on her papa's side. I wouldn't call it a vacation though - it was way too stressful. Our trip to Florida last April was a lot more relaxed. We stayed in Naples and did some sightseeing, beach going and just hanging out with my husband family who came there from Germany. I would definitely want to do it again (maybe this fall).

What will you vacation this year?
In New Jersey - so Anna can spend some time with my parents. Maybe she will start speaking Russian after two weeks :)

I'm jealous of your mediterranean cruise. That would be so fun! It's on my list of someday ideas.

Exciting places! That is so great she has had the chance to meet so much of her family even though they live far away. Our extended family does't live nearly as far (about 10 hours in each directions)but it is still hard to find time to visit as often as we would like.

Florida is my husband's favorite place. We have been there twice and he always wants to go back.

Your cruises sound wonderful! We started our family pretty young and spent our early married life as students, so we'll have to wait until we're older for nice vacations.

I like your new blog title and layout :)
